Story of The Cangrejos (Crabs) in the Bucket
If there are two buckets full of crabs, one full of "White" crabs representing the White race of people and
another full of "Latino" crabs representing the Latino race of people. At the end of day, which one would be empty?
The one with the "White" crabs. Because when one tries to crawl up the side, the others push him up & out
and then he turns around and pulls all the others out with him.
In the bucket full of "Latino" crabs, when one tries to crawl up the side, the others grab a hold of him and
pull him back down so that he will share the same fate as the rest of them. Because if one gets out, he will not turn around
and pull the others out with him, instead he will leave and not help them out.
So it is with the "Latino" race of people. If one Latino tries to do something different, get better grades,
improve himself, escape his environment, or dream big dreams, other Latinos will not help him. Instead they will try to drag
him back down to share their fate. If one happens to succeed, he will not help his fellow Latinos out.
